For the first time, the production team of Operation Theatre this year will work to raise awareness and funds for HCA Hospice Care and its Star PALS initiative for pediatric advanced life support.
About Star PALS
Star PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with life-limiting conditions. Medical professionals, allied health specialists, counselors, social workers and volunteers work together in multidisciplinary teams that partner the patient's families to address the families' needs to provide a customized and holistic treatment plan for them.
Patients who are under the care of Star PALS are aged 19 years and below. They have life-limiting conditions that may range from neurological or congenital conditions to childhood cancers.
Star PALS is a service provided by HCA Hospice Care, a registered charity in Singapore that delivers professional palliative care to patients in their own homes. By managing pain and other symptoms with specialized care and support, HCA Hospice Care ensures that patients can spend their last days in comfort, at home with their families.
